Jaw pain (TMJ, Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction)
The mandible, or jawbone, just hangs from the temporal bone. Oftentimes this is traditionally treated by working with the teeth. However, you need to look at the basic imbalances and the relationship of the sacrum to the occiput (cranial base) and the cranial base to the temporal bones from which the mandible hangs. Once those are balanced, you can then rebalance the tension appropriately in the ligaments that suspend the mandible. (Tension is appropriate in the jaw – you do want your mouth to close, don’t you?)
